Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Contract Coordinator – Government Contracting - at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

This position provides administrative and secretarial support to the Manager, Government Contracting and the Government Contracting team.

Responsibilities include:

- Circulate idea disclosures and patent transmittals to Government Contracting Team.
- Track idea disclosures and patent transmittals for the purpose of recording necessary intellectual property information to existing and new contracts.
- Perform data entries to patent information logs and databases.
- Maintain advance waiver of patent rights and patent distribution listing in database.
- Obtain required government approval for publications emanating from government funded contracts.
- Work with Patent Department to ensure timely notification to government of inventions, patent filings, and patent status (prepare record of inventions, confirmatory licenses, waiver of identified inventions, and letters of patent abandonments.)
- Ability to use Patent Department’s PatentMaster database.
- Handle patent annuities and foreign filings and advise Patent Department about technology manager’s decision.
- Maintain Excel closeout database.
- Complete contract closeout documents.
- Coordinate close out meetings with customer, contract administrator and technical groups.
- Work with customer to obtain final payment.
- Maintain property databases by tracking contract property requirements.
- Conduct inventories and prepare reports covering government-owned property.
- Prepare reports of excess personal property.
- Handle property issues relative to GSA and GSA property listings.
- Update project summaries.
- Initiate requests to team members for project summary information.
- Assume greater level of responsibility, while under the guidance of supervisor, for the preparation of various department-sponsored events.
- Ensure accurate discount travel authorizations are prepared for various technical groups associated with government contracts.
- Maintain departmental KPI statistics.
- Set-up meetings and do travel arrangements.

Qualifications:

- High School - 5 years work experience
- Assoc. Degree - 2 years work experience.
