Principal Accountabilities - Responsible for the following tax activities:

Planning -
* Keep up to date on all federal tax law changes and initiatives that have a significant impact to the Company
* Recommend and implement federal and state tax planning ideas
* Research federal and state tax issues
* Minimize the impact of state tax law changes
* Provide input to the Income Tax Controller on quarterly and year end federal and state tax accounting provision matters and annual report footnotes.

Annual and Estimated Tax Return Preparation -
* Prepares the federal tax returns and complex Schedule M adjustments for the major subsidiaries in an electronic tax return filing environment
* Prepares the quarterly federal estimated tax payments and the federal extension request
* Prepares assigned state income and franchise tax returns on a timely and accurate basis
* Prepares assigned state income and franchise estimated tax payments on a timely and accurate basis.

Audit Matters –
* Handle state and local income tax audit document, information requests and correspondence for assigned states
* Research and provide tax positions to auditors for assigned states.

Other – Obtain training and maintain expertise on federal and state tax matters.

Qualifications:

** A minimum of 3-5 years in financial accounting and corporate tax preparation experience
** Must have strong knowledge of Schedule M-3 and Form 8916A, as well as electronic tax return filing requirements
** Excellent understanding of consolidated financial statement preparation and use of SAP general ledger systems
** Strong tax knowledge base
** Good mathematical, interpersonal, oral, written and computer skills necessary
** Experience with Excel and CorpTax software a plus
** CPA, Public Accounting (Big 4) experience preferred.

Education: An undergraduate degree in accounting is required.

Senior Principal Research Chemist/Engineer position:

The candidate will be able to perform all duties consistent with new product development activities that drive new profitable products toward commercialization. This includes screening synthesis routes and evaluating various unit operations for scale-up. The candidate will serve as the technical lead for gated ODI projects within PRMS. Responsibilities include a strong commitment to safety, health and environmental leadership. Routinely documenting results and giving oral presentations on the project(s) status is required. The candidate must also focus on the appropriate intellectual asset management as it relates to a given project. Some budgetary compliance, tracking of project spending and identifying continuous improvement opportunities is necessary. The candidate must also be familiar with all EH&S requirements and be familiar with the operation of reactors, centrifuges, refrigeration & heating systems, gas cylinders and rotary vacuum driers. The candidate should also be familiar with packaging solids, liquids and gases.

This position requires a minimum of a Masters degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. A PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
A minimum of 5-10 years hands-on experience with laboratory or pilot plant unit operations is required. Experience with handling hazardous chemicals such as silane, F2 and HF is preferred. Must be familiar with the design & bulidling of pilot plants and be familiar with analytical instruments. The candidate will lead efforts to upgrade exisiting processes and contribute to the development of new product offerings. Working directly with the commercial group and direct contact with customers will be required.
