Job Description:
The Business Consultant is responsible for managing select projects related to workflow redesign, organizational analysis, performance measurement, staffing analysis and implementation assistance. In addition, the Business Consultant will provide support to Project Manager by documenting current and future state system functionality, including Use Cases and System Process Maps, as well as performing other critical tasks related to data gathering, analysis and project planning for various client initiatives. The Business Consultant is expected to be adept at managing select projects, from beginning to end, that are assigned by the Business Advisory Services (BAS) management team. The Business Consultant will be expected to work closely with clients and be able to create proposal documents, project communications, workplans, and final reports that identify and resolve business problems in a clear, concise and accurate manner. Although the Business Consultant may be required to manage client personnel on select engagements, the expectation of BAS management is that the Business Consultant must be able to work independently and create deliverables with minimal direction from management. A successful Business Consultant will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to demonstrate strong consultative/ relationship skills, and must be able to add substantive value on how to improve operational, organizational, and technical effectiveness throughout the Guardian organization.

Qualification:
Four-year college degree required; Business degree preferred Previous experience working in the consulting/ financial services industry preferred; 2 to 3 years of previous project management experience required with a demonstrated record of achieving results; Experience working on system related projects, with experience in design and testing preferred. Other Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel occasionally, estimated at between 10% and 15% of the time.
