Section Chief of Hematology
Lehigh Valley Hospital, a premier academic community hospital in southeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Section Chief of Hematology to join an expanding, hospital-based group practice with 9 members. The Section Chief will help develop hematology programs, enhance patient care, and build the practice. A second opportunity is available in the group for a staff medical oncologist/hematologist. The staff physician would assist the Section Chief and/or practice as a generalist in the group. This progressive practice offers a reasonable call schedule (1:9), an attractive compensation package, and provides eligibility for an academic appointment at Penn State University. Our comprehensive cancer center, which is the largest in the region and fourth largest in Pennsylvania, is accredited as a Network Cancer Program through the Commission on Cancer. We offer leading-edge technology, participate in 140 national studies (ECOG, NSABP, NCCTG and industry), and conduct over 20 tumor boards each month.
