Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Electronics Design Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Base Skills:
Self -Starter - Ability to work independently.
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
Computer literate.

Electronics Design Specialist Skills Required:
Use and operation of P-CAD or Altium Designer printed circuit board design software.
Ability to design schematics and printed circuit boards for analog and digital I/O, system interface protocols, and touch screen HMI protocols.
Hands-on knowledge of printed circuit boards / board level components / power supplies / 120 VAC and 24 VDC control / troubleshooting skills.
Use and operation of electronics test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Insulation Resistance Testers, etc.).
Use and operation of Solid Works 3D CAD modeling software or Microstation CAD software is a plus.

Job Description:
Provide technical and design support on New Product Development programs and existing product line equipment.
Help develop budget and schedule requirements for New Product Development programs.
Perform Failure Analysis of product line equipment controllers and components using standardized testing procedures.
Support CE / ATEX Compliance Testing (EMI / RFI) & Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTL) Listing & Labeling for product lines supported by the Electronics Team.
Support software writers by reviewing and/or testing software changes using in house software simulators and Input/Output test equipment.
Provide technical, trouble-shooting, and operational telephone support to Air Products field technicians and customer sites around the world.
Travel to customer sites for emergency repairs / troubleshooting of equipment and systems.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5-10 years experience with an Electronics Engineering Technician degree.
